National wealth, the value of non-financial assets in the Canadian economy, rose 0.3% to $10,557.9 billion at the end of the third quarter, the second consecutive quarter of slow growth.

Distributions of household economic accounts for income, consumption, saving and wealth of Canadian households, 2016

New estimates for the distributions of household disposable income, final consumption expenditure, net saving and wealth indicate that households in the top disposable income quintile held 48.9% of total household wealth, while the bottom disposable income quintile held 5.8% in 2016.

Base air fares in Canada, domestic and international combined, averaged $230.70 in the second quarter, up 6.3% from the same quarter of 2016, reversing the downward trend of the previous eight quarters. Base air fares do not include taxes and user fees.
