Monthly Survey of Manufacturing, October 2016
Manufacturing sales declined 0.8% to $51.0 billion in October, following two consecutive monthly gains. The largest decreases were in the primary metal, petroleum and coal product, and machinery industries.
Education indicators in Canada: An international perspective, 2015
In 2015, 9 out of 10 people (90%) in Canada aged 25 to 64 had completed at least high school, well above the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development average of 78%.

According to preliminary estimates, Canada’s population was 36,443,632 on October 1, 2016, up 157,207 from July 1, 2016.
Pension Satellite Account, 2015
Pension wealth rose 6.1% to $3,496 billion in nominal terms at the end of 2015, following a 10.0% increase in 2014. This was the seventh consecutive year that all three components (social security, employer-based pension plans and individual registered savings plans) of pension wealth have increased.
Periodical publishing, 2015
The periodical publishing industry reported $1.6 billion in total operating revenue in 2015, down 17.7% from 2013. Total operating expenses declined 21.3% to $1.4 billion in 2015, resulting in an operating profit margin of 13.0% compared with 9.0% in 2013.
Natural gas transmission, storage and distribution, October 2016
Natural gas transmission pipelines received 519.0 million gigajoules of natural gas from fields, gathering systems and gas plants in October. Of the seven provinces that posted receipts, Alberta (72.0%) and British Columbia (25.3%) held the majority.
