Payroll employment, earnings and hours, and job vacancies, October 2022
The number of employees receiving pay or benefits from their employer—referred to as “payroll employees” in the Survey of Employment, Payrolls and Hours—was little changed in October (-5,400), following an increase of 96,400 (+0.5%) in September.
Study: Perceptions of shared values in Canadian society among the immigrant population
Nearly double the proportion of immigrants as Canadian-born people believed that Canadians share values on ethnic and cultural diversity (47% of immigrants compared with 24% of Canadian-born people), linguistic duality (42% compared with 23%) and respect for Indigenous cultures (37% compared with 18%) to a great extent.

Wholesale trade: Early indicator, November 2022
Given the rapidly evolving economic situation, Statistics Canada is providing an advance estimate of sales in the wholesale trade sector for November. The advance results for November indicate that wholesale sales rose 1.9%. The increase largely reflects higher sales in the motor vehicles and motor vehicle parts and in the accessories and food, beverage and tobacco products subsectors.
