Quarterly financial statistics for enterprises, fourth quarter 2015
Canadian corporations earned $77.4 billion in operating profits in the fourth quarter, down 3.1% from the previous quarter.
Payroll employment, earnings and hours, December 2015
Average weekly earnings of non-farm payroll employees were $959 in December, up 0.9% from the previous month. Compared with 12 months earlier, average weekly earnings increased by 1.7%.
Farm Product Price Index, December 2015
The Farm Product Price Index (FPPI) declined 0.3% in December compared with December 2014, largely as a result of lower cattle and hog prices. This was the first year-over-year decrease in the index since August 2014.
Construction Union Wage Rate Index, January 2016
The Construction Union Wage Rate Index (including supplements) for Canada was unchanged in January compared with the previous month, but was up 1.2% in the 12 months to January.
Characteristics of international overnight travellers, third quarter 2015
Canadian residents made 9.0 million overnight trips abroad in the third quarter, with spending totalling $9.4 billion. Of these trips, 6.2 million were to the United States, accounting for $4.3 billion in spending.
Surveying and mapping services, 2014
Survey and mapping service industries, which include geophysical and non-geophysical surveying and mapping, reported a combined $3.0 billion in operating revenue in 2014, up 0.6% from 2013.
