Investment in building construction advanced 1.2% to $18.0 billion in November with increases in every component except for industrial construction.

Today, Statistics Canada presents an analysis of a new data linkage between the 2016 Census of Population and the Canadian Employer–Employee Dynamics Database, which makes it possible to measure the use of languages at work by employees according to the size of the organization that employs them.

Demographic estimates for Canada’s subprovincial areas as of July 1, 2021 are now available. Estimates are available for census metropolitan areas and census agglomerations, census divisions, economic regions and census subdivisions. Revised estimates as of July 1 for the years 2017 to 2020 are also available.
