Payroll employment, earnings and hours, May 2017
Average weekly earnings of non-farm payroll employees were $972 in May, virtually unchanged from April but up 2.0% from 12 months earlier.
Aircraft movement statistics: Major airports, May 2017
There were 524,168 aircraft take-offs and landings in May 2017 at the 91 Canadian airports with NAV CANADA air traffic control towers and flight service stations, up 1.8% from 515,121 movements in May 2016.
Monthly civil aviation statistics, May 2017
The six Canadian Level I air carriers flew 6.2 million passengers on scheduled and charter services in May, up 7.8% from May 2016.
Research and development personnel, 2014
There were 243,570 full-time equivalent research and development personnel in Canada in 2014, up 7.5% from 2013. This gain was primarily the result of a 13.3% increase in research and development personnel in the business enterprise sector.
Poultry and egg statistics, May 2017
Egg production rose 4.4% from May 2016 to 64.5 million dozen in May 2017.
Production and disposition of tobacco products, June 2017
Canadian manufacturers produced 1.9 billion cigarettes in June, up 0.1% from May. Cigarette production decreased 0.1% in June compared to the same month a year earlier.
