Biannual Survey of Suppliers of Business Financing, second half 2015
During the second half of 2015, the commodity sector continued to show growth and ongoing demand for financing. Conversely, credit conditions were tightened for firms involved in the energy sector, as the Canadian economy continued to adjust to lower oil prices, which resulted in lower investments.
Residential construction investment, first quarter 2016
In the first quarter, total investment in residential construction rose 2.1% compared with the same quarter in 2015 to $26.1 billion. This marked the ninth consecutive year-over-year gain.
Investment in non-residential building construction (revised data), first quarter 2016
Following the release of gross domestic product by income and expenditure for the first quarter, revised data on investment in non-residential building construction for the first quarter are now available.
Monthly civil aviation statistics, March 2016
The six Canadian Level I air carriers flew 6.3 million passengers on scheduled and charter services in March, up 4.2% from the same month in 2015.
Asphalt roofing, April 2016
Shipments of asphalt shingles totalled 4.4 million metric bundles in April, up 4.6% from the previous month. Compared with April 2015, shipments were 36.7% higher.
