Retail trade, April 2017
Retail sales rose 0.8% to $48.6 billion in April. Sales were up in 9 of 11 subsectors, representing 71% of total retail trade. Excluding sales at motor vehicle and parts dealers, retail sales climbed 1.5%.
Employment Insurance, April 2017
The number of regular Employment Insurance (EI) beneficiaries fell by 7,000 (-1.3%) to 541,200 in April, a sixth consecutive monthly decline.

The Construction Union Wage Rate Index (including supplements) for Canada rose by 0.1% in May compared with the previous month. The composite index increased 0.1% in the 12 months to May.
Refined petroleum products, May 2017
Data on the production, inventories and domestic sales of refined petroleum products for Canada and the regions are now available for May upon request.
Milled wheat and wheat flour produced, April 2017
Millers milled 221 749 tonnes of wheat in April, while wheat flour production totalled 177 056 tonnes.
