National wealth, the value of non-financial assets in the Canadian economy, rose 1.2% to $10,769.0 billion at the end of the fourth quarter, led by growth in the value of residential and commercial structures.
Violent victimization of women with disabilities, 2014
Canadians with a disability—both women and men—were almost twice as likely to be victims of a violent crime than Canadians who did not have a disability, according to the 2014 General Social Survey on Canadians’ Safety (Victimization).
Research and development of Canadian private non-profit organizations, 2016 (final)
Private non-profit organizations’ in-house research and development (R&D) spending intentions of $137 million for 2018 are almost unchanged from the $136 million revised intentions for 2017.
Consulting services, 2016
The management, scientific and technical consulting services industry group reported $20.0 billion in operating revenue in 2016, up 3.4% from 2015. Operating expenses grew 3.7% to $14.4 billion, resulting in an operating profit margin of 27.9%. Salaries, wages and benefits rose 4.3% from 2015 to $6.2 billion.
