Job Vacancy and Wage Survey, fourth quarter 2015
Canadian employers reported 353,000 job vacancies in the fourth quarter, and the job vacancy rate was 2.3%.
Gross domestic product by industry: Provinces and territories, 2015
Real gross domestic product (GDP) by industry increased in seven provinces and the Northwest Territories in 2015. GDP declined in Alberta, Newfoundland and Labrador, Saskatchewan, Yukon and Nunavut, largely because of the impact of lower oil and metal prices.
New Housing Price Index, March 2016
The New Housing Price Index (NHPI) rose 0.2% in March, following an identical increase in February. The index has increased for 12 consecutive months, largely driven by higher new housing prices in Ontario and British Columbia.
Spectator sports, event promoters, artists and related industries, 2014
Total operating revenue for spectator sports, event promoters, artists and related industries grew 8.7% from $7.9 billion in 2013 to $8.6 billion in 2014. Total operating expenses were $7.6 billion.
Aircraft movement statistics: Small airports, January 2016
In January, take-offs and landings at 122 Canadian airports without air traffic control towers totalled 34,000 movements.
Fertilizer Shipments Survey, third quarter 2015/2016
Shipments of urea within Canada decreased by 115 000 tonnes (-5.9%) from the third quarter of the 2014/2015 fertilizer year to 1.8 million tonnes in the third quarter of 2015/2016.
Travel Survey of Residents of Canada, fourth quarter 2015
In the fourth quarter, the number of domestic trips decreased 0.5% from the same quarter in 2014 to 75.5 million. Total expenditures for those trips increased 1.0% to $10.1 billion.
