Employment Insurance, March 2018
In March, 471,500 people received regular Employment Insurance benefits, down 7,300 (-1.5%) from February. The decline continues a downward trend in the number of beneficiaries that began in the autumn of 2016.

Compared with the fourth quarter of 2017, operating profits for Canadian corporations were up 7.0% in the first quarter.

Construction Union Wage Rate Index, April 2018
The Construction Union Wage Rate Index (including supplements) for Canada was unchanged in April compared with the previous month. The composite index increased 1.0% in the 12 months to April.
Oilseed crushing statistics, April 2018
Oilseed processors crushed 788 612 tonnes of canola in April. Oil production totalled 352 397 tonnes, while meal production totalled 438 215 tonnes.

Data on major grain deliveries are now available for April.
Milled wheat and wheat flour produced, March 2018
Millers milled 252 954 tonnes of wheat in March, while wheat flour production totalled 187 453 tonnes.
