Payroll employment, earnings and hours, March 2016
Average weekly earnings of non-farm payroll employees were $960 in March, up 0.5% from the previous month. Compared with 12 months earlier, average weekly earnings increased 0.7%.
Quarterly financial statistics for enterprises, first quarter 2016
Canadian corporations earned $73.1 billion in operating profits in the first quarter, down 4.6% from the previous quarter.
Dairy statistics, March 2016
The volume of milk and cream sold totalled 243 376 kilolitres in March, up 2.5% from March 2015.
Aircraft movement statistics: Major airports, March 2016
There were 439,389 aircraft take-offs and landings in March at the 91 Canadian airports with NAV CANADA air traffic control towers and flight service stations, compared with 452,217 movements in March 2015.
Construction Union Wage Rate Index, April 2016
The Construction Union Wage Rate Index (including supplements) for Canada rose 0.2% in April compared with the previous month. The composite index increased 1.9% in the 12 months to April.
Characteristics of international overnight travellers, fourth quarter 2015
Canadian residents made 6.7 million overnight trips abroad in the fourth quarter, with spending totalling $8.2 billion. Of these trips, 4.2 million were to the United States, accounting for $3.7 billion in spending.
