Payroll employment, earnings and hours, September 2016
Average weekly earnings of non-farm payroll employees were $957 in September, virtually unchanged from the previous month (-0.1%) and up 0.4% from 12 months earlier.
Quarterly financial statistics for enterprises, third quarter 2016
Canadian corporations earned $80.7 billion in operating profits in the third quarter, up 14.0% from the previous quarter.
Machinery and Equipment Price Index, third quarter 2016
The Machinery and Equipment Price Index (MEPI) increased 1.0% in the third quarter, following a 5.4% decrease in the second quarter. The import component was up 1.1% over the third quarter, while the domestic component increased 0.4%.
Construction Union Wage Rate Index, October 2016
The Construction Union Wage Rate Index (including supplements) for Canada was unchanged in October compared with the previous month. The composite index increased 0.6% in the 12 months to October.
Oilseed crushing statistics, October 2016
Oilseed processors crushed 808 721 tonnes of canola in October. Oil production totalled 349 516 tonnes, while meal production was 454 926 tonnes.
Milled wheat and wheat flour produced, September 2016
Millers milled 263 619 tonnes of wheat in September, while wheat flour production totalled 203 345 tonnes.
