Real gross domestic product (GDP) rose in all provinces and territories except Newfoundland and Labrador. Nationally, real GDP grew 2.0%, after increasing 3.2% in 2017.
Supply and use tables, 2016
In 2016, the total value of the supply of all goods and services in the Canadian economy was $4.3 trillion. Of this total, $3.6 trillion, or about 84%, was output produced in Canada, and $685.9 billion was supplied through international imports.
Building construction price indexes, third quarter 2019
Prices for the construction of residential buildings increased 0.6% in the third quarter, while the cost of construction of non-residential buildings was up 0.5%.
Secondary distributors of refined petroleum products, 2018
Secondary distributors of refined petroleum products sold 27.8 billion litres of refined petroleum products in Canada in 2018, up 1.2% from the previous year. The distribution of products sold was as follows: motor gasoline (55.3%), diesel fuel oil (36.5%), while light fuel oil and heavy fuel oil made up the remainder of the sales (8.2%).
End use of refined petroleum products, 2018
Total sales of refined petroleum products increased 4.9% from 96.8 million cubic metres in 2017 to 101.6 million cubic metres in 2018.
