Investment in non-residential building construction, third quarter 2015
Investment in non-residential building construction amounted to $12.9 billion in the third quarter, down 0.5% from the previous quarter. This was the third consecutive quarterly decline and largely reflected lower spending on the construction of commercial and industrial buildings.
Study: Social assistance receipt among refugee claimants in Canada: Evidence from linked administrative data files, 1999 to 2011
Among refugee claimants who initiated their claim in Canada during the 2000s, about 80% received social assistance in the first year following their claim. In the second year, 50% to 60% of those whose refugee claim was still active received social assistance.
