Employment Insurance, August 2019
In August, 453,200 people received regular Employment Insurance benefits, virtually unchanged from the previous month. There were increases in Quebec (+2.8%) and Prince Edward Island (+1.6%), while there was a decrease in Ontario (-1.4%).
Elementary–Secondary Education Survey for Canada, the provinces and territories, 2017/2018
Over 5.6 million students in Canada were enrolled in elementary and secondary school programs in 2017/2018. Students can be attending public schools, private/independent schools, or they can be home-schooled.
Retail Services Price Index, second quarter 2019
The Retail Services Price Index (RSPI) declined 0.1% in the second quarter, following a 0.8% increase in the previous quarter. Margins were down in 5 of the 10 major retail subsectors surveyed.
Wholesale Services Price Index, second quarter 2019
The Wholesale Services Price Index (WSPI) rose 0.5% in the second quarter. Of the eight subsectors, two were up, five were down, and one was unchanged.
Construction Union Wage Rate Index, September 2019
The Construction Union Wage Rate Index (including supplements) for Canada remained unchanged in September from the previous month. The index for all trades (including supplements) rose 0.5% over the 12 month period ending in September.
