Foreign direct investment, 2015
The stock of Canadian direct investment abroad rose 21.8% to $1,005.2 billion in 2015, the largest increase since 2008. At the same time, the level of foreign direct investment in Canada was up 6.8% to $768.5 billion.
Production and disposition of tobacco products, March 2016
Canadian manufacturers produced 1.9 billion cigarettes in March, up 20.8% from February. Cigarette production increased 1.1% from the same month a year earlier.
Oilseed crushing statistics, March 2016
Oilseed processors crushed 751 258 tonnes of canola in March. Oil production totalled 329 029 tonnes, while meal production was 423 024 tonnes.
Dairy statistics, February 2016
In February, the volume of milk and cream sold increased 3.4% from February 2015 to 233 638 kilolitres.
Milled wheat and wheat flour produced, February 2016
Millers milled 242 383 tonnes of wheat in February, while wheat flour production totalled 187 272 tonnes.
