Retail Services Price Index, fourth quarter 2020
The Retail Services Price Index (RSPI) rose 1.5% in the fourth quarter, following a 0.6% increase in the previous quarter. Margins were up in 6 of the 10 major retail subsectors surveyed.
Oil Pipeline Financial Survey, 2019
Operating revenue of Canadian oil pipeline companies increased 5.6% to $16.2 billion in 2019, compared with a 14.3% rise in 2018. Meanwhile, total operating expenses increased 5.9% to $11.1 billion. As a result, net revenue from operations was $5.1 billion, up 5.0% from the previous year. Net income after taxes was $4.3 billion (+6.5%).
Natural Gas Financial Survey, 2019
Total operating revenue for the Canadian natural gas distribution and transport pipeline industry declined 1.3% to $17.0 billion in 2019, compared with a 1.8% increase in 2018. Concurrently, total operating expenses increased to $13.5 billion (+2.8%) for the year. Accordingly, net revenue from operations was $3.6 billion, a decrease of 14.2% from 2018.
