Industrial product and raw materials price indexes, July 2016
The Industrial Product Price Index rose 0.2% in July. Higher prices for primary non-ferrous metal products were largely moderated by a decline in prices for energy and petroleum products. The Raw Materials Price Index decreased 2.7%, as a result of lower prices for crude energy products.
Canada’s balance of international payments, second quarter 2016
Canada’s current account deficit (on a seasonally adjusted basis) increased $3.3 billion in the second quarter to $19.9 billion. In the financial account (unadjusted for seasonal variation), foreign investment in Canadian securities remained strong and led the inflow of funds in the economy.

The total market value of residential properties in Canada rose 4.1% compared with 2012 to $4.2 trillion in 2013.

Canada’s arenas consumed 17.2 million gigajoules (GJ) of energy in 2014.

In 2015, the number of domestic trips decreased 0.7% from 2014 to 318.1 million. Total expenditures for those trips increased 0.6% to $47.4 billion.
