Employment Insurance, October 2017
In October, 510,000 people received regular Employment Insurance benefits, virtually unchanged from September. While there was little change for the month, the number of Employment Insurance recipients has been on a downward trend since October 2016.
Canadian Housing Statistics Program
Data from the Canadian Housing Statistics Program reveals that non-residents own 3.4% of all residential properties in the Toronto census metropolitan area, while in the Vancouver census metropolitan area, non-residents own 4.8% of residential properties.
Investment in new housing construction, October 2017
New housing construction investment totalled $5.4 billion in October, up 7.4% compared with October 2016.
Travel between Canada and other countries, October 2017
US residents made nearly 2.1 million trips to Canada in October, a 1.5% increase from September, and up 3.1% from October 2016. This was also the highest number of trips recorded for the month of October since 2007.
Nursing and residential care facilities (provisional estimates), 2015
The nursing and residential care facilities industry, including both public and private facilities, reported $25.3 billion in operating revenue in 2015, up 3.6% from $24.4 billion in 2014.

The school experiences of children aged 4 to 11, whether academic or social, are important to understanding their overall well-being. How children spend their leisure time outside of school can also be important for their well-being, as it allows them to develop social skills and peer relationships.
Annual Survey of Manufacturing and Logging industries: Product produced and raw materials purchased and used by the logging industries, 2015 and 2016
Data on the value of products produced and products purchased and used by the logging industries, for Canada, the provinces and territories, are now available for 2015 (revised) and 2016 upon request.
Logging, 2016
Revenue from all logging activities totalled $9.8 billion in 2016, up 4.7% from 2015. Logging (except contract) accounted for $5.1 billion, while contract logging accounted for $4.7 billion.
Construction Union Wage Rate Index, November 2017
The Construction Union Wage Rate Index (including supplements) for Canada remained unchanged in November compared with the previous month. The composite index increased 1.0% in the 12 months to November.
