Leading indicator of international arrivals to Canada, June 2023
In June, the number of international arrivals to Canada, including non-resident trips and returning Canadian resident trips, continued to increase relative to June 2022. However, the number of arrivals has not yet reached the levels recorded in June 2019, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Convenient access to public transport in Canada
Canada’s three largest census metropolitan areas (CMAs) (Toronto, Montréal and Vancouver) had higher rates of convenient access to public transit, each with over 82% of residents living within 500 metres of a public transit stop.
