Financial information of universities and degree-granting colleges, 2016/2017
Canada’s 148 public universities and degree-granting institutions spent $27.5 billion in 2016/2017, up 1.5% from $27.1 billion in 2015/2016. Revenues increased 10.7%, rising from $27.2 billion in 2015/2016 to $30.1 billion in 2016/2017.
Natural gas transmission, storage and distribution, May 2018
Natural gas transmission pipelines received 560.0 million gigajoules of natural gas from fields, gathering systems and plants in May, up 3.4% from the same month in 2017. The vast majority of receipts were in Alberta (68.7%) and British Columbia (29.0%).
Characteristics of international overnight travellers, 2017 (preliminary)
Canadian residents made 33.1 million overnight trips abroad in 2017, spending $42.9 billion. Just over 6 in 10 of these trips or 20.2 million were to the United States, accounting for $19.6 billion in spending.
