Canada’s Core Public Infrastructure Survey: Water Infrastructure, 2020
In 2020, public potable water, wastewater and stormwater networks were composed of 4,126 wastewater treatment plants and lagoon systems, 3,342 water treatment facilities, 472,488 kilometres of underground pipes, and 284,827 kilometres of culverts and open ditches, as well as numerous pump stations, storage facilities, and other assets.
Food services and drinking places, May 2022
On a seasonally adjusted basis, sales in the food service and drinking places subsector increased by 3.0% to $7.4 billion in May 2022, the highest value since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and of the series. Sales rose at full-service restaurants (+3.1%), limited-service restaurants (+1.9%), special food services (+8.1%), and drinking places (+6.1%).
Wholesale trade: Early indicator, June 2022
Given the rapidly evolving economic situation, Statistics Canada is providing an advance estimate of sales in the wholesale trade sector for June. The advance results for June indicate that wholesale sales rose 0.5%. The increase reflects higher sales in the miscellaneous goods subsector.
Municipal government financial statistics, 2018
Additional financial data for individual municipalities and other local public administrations are now available for 2018. These exploratory data have been acquired through published financial statements and adjusted to be aligned with the Government Finance Statistics international standard developed by the International Monetary Fund.
