Canada’s international investment position, first quarter 2017
Canada’s net foreign asset position increased for the third consecutive quarter, up $75.6 billion to $247.9 billion in the first quarter. Canada’s international assets have now exceeded international liabilities for 10 straight quarters.
Police-reported hate crimes, 2015
Hate crimes rose by 5% in Canada in 2015, largely due to an increase in incidents targeting certain religious and ethno-cultural groups, specifically the Muslim population and Arabs or West Asians.
Police-reported cybercrime, 2015
Data for 2015 on police-reported cybercrime is now available for a subset of police services across Canada that report to the newest version of the Uniform Crime Reporting Survey. The survey collects data on criminal incidents reported to police, including information on victims and accused persons involved in the incident.
