Canada is home to approximately one million people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, Two-Spirit or who identify with another non-binary gender or minority sexual identity (LGBTQ2+), accounting for 4% of the total population aged 15 and older in 2018. To mark Pride Season, we are painting a demographic and social profile of Canada’s diverse LGBTQ2+ communities.

Industrial Product Price Index: Flash estimates, May 2021
According to flash estimates, the Industrial Product Price Index rose 3.1% in May. Year over year, the index was up 16.9%.
Experimental indexes of economic activity in the provinces and territories, February 2021
Following a slowing of activity growth in January, the three-month moving average of economic activity increased in a majority of provinces and territories in February. The increases represent an acceleration in growth compared with the three-month moving average for January.

Data from the telecommunications services producer price indexes (first quarter 2020 = 100) are now available for the first quarter.
Canadian Survey on the Provision of Child Care Services, January 2021
Over half of the 52,794 child care providers in Canada reported that they were unlicensed and home-based in January 2021, while 28% were licensed and home-based and 18% were centre-based. Although there are more unlicensed providers than licensed providers, 74% of children were enrolled in centre-based child care.
