Consumer Price Index, May 2023
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 3.4% on a year-over-year basis in May, following a 4.4% increase in April. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the CPI rose 0.1% in May.

This article presents preliminary findings on the earnings pay gap between persons with and without disabilities, using the 2019 Canadian Income Survey. Persons with disabilities earn around 21.4% less than persons without disabilities.
Monthly estimates of business openings and closures, March 2023
In March 2023, the number of active businesses dropped by 0.2%, following a 0.3% decrease in February. The decline in the number of active businesses in March was driven by the 0.1 percentage point increase in the business closure rate (4.6%) combined with the 0.1 percentage point contraction in the opening rate (4.3%).

Proximity Measures Database, 2021
A new version of the Proximity Measures Database is now available for the 2021 reference period. The database contains 10 measures of proximity and a composite indicator that combines some of the proximity measures. These measures are proximity to employment, grocery stores, pharmacies, health care, childcare, primary education, secondary education, public transit, neighbourhood parks and libraries.
Value added in exports, 2021
National data on the value added in exports for 2021 are now available. The national value added in exports for 2019 and 2020 have been revised.
