In April, Canada’s merchandise exports increased 1.6%, while imports edged up 0.3%. As a result, Canada’s merchandise trade surplus with the world widened from $1.8 billion in March to $2.7 billion in April.
Canadian international trade in services, April 2026
Canada’s international imports of services increased 1.1% to $20.5 billion in April, while its exports decreased 0.9% to reach $20.6 billion. As a result, Canada’s monthly international trade in services surplus narrowed from $0.5 billion in March to $0.1 billion in April.
