Gross domestic product by industry, January 2026
Real gross domestic product edged up 0.1% in January, marking a second consecutive monthly increase, driven by growth in goods-producing industries.
Municipal operating costs: Water, waste, recreation and culture, 2020 to 2023
Statistics Canada is releasing experimental estimates of municipal operating expenses for select functions of government, including water supply, wastewater management, waste management, and cultural and recreational services.
Gender differences in experiences of violence and unwanted sexual behaviour in Canada, 2025
In 2025, certain types of violence, such as intimate partner violence, sexual assault and unwanted behaviours in public, were more prevalent among women than men. Other types, like physical assault by someone other than an intimate partner, were more common among men.
Energy statistics, January 2026
Primary energy production increased 3.5% year over year in January, reaching 2.2 million gigajoules, the highest level since this series began in 2020. Secondary energy production rose 1.6%, with secondary electricity (+9.8%) contributing the most to the gain.
Screened passenger traffic at Canadian airports, February 2026
In February, 4.2 million passengers passed through pre-board security screening at checkpoints operated at Canada’s eight largest airports, up 1.0% from February 2025.

Data on the placements of hatchery chicks and turkey poults are available for February 2026, and data on egg production are available for January 2026.
Oilseed crushing and major grain deliveries statistics, February 2026
Oilseed processors crushed 951.4 thousand tonnes of canola in February, down 9.7% from January 2026 and up 7.8% from February 2025. Oil production reached 408.6 thousand tonnes in February 2026, while meal production was 548.4 thousand tonnes.

Today, the Canadian Housing Statistics Program is releasing new experimental estimates of private dwellings in Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario, Manitoba and British Columbia for reference years 2023 and 2024.
