Economic activity in the non-profit sector totalled $169.2 billion in 2017, representing 8.5% of Canada’s gross domestic product.

Canadian manufacturers produced 1.8 billion cigarettes in January, up 32.6% from December. Cigarette production increased 18.9% compared with the same month a year earlier.
