Trade by exporter and importer characteristics: Goods, 2020
The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on Canadian businesses involved in international trade in goods activity in 2020. The number of Canadian enterprises exporting goods in 2020 declined by 4.2% compared with 2019, to 43,630. Meanwhile, the number of importing enterprises fell by 4.9% to a record low of 155,470, the largest annual decline since 2010.

Education Indicators in Canada
The Pan-Canadian Education Indicators Program has released a new data table related to youth participation in postsecondary education. Using the integrated census data from 2011 and 2016, this table shows the proportion of youth aged 19 to 23 who had either attended or completed postsecondary education by May 2016, for each province or territory and by family characteristics measured five years earlier, when the majority of them lived with their parents. These family characteristics include parental educational attainment, parental income, family type, area of residence and immigration status.

Today, Statistics Canada is releasing a new data table from the Full-time University and College Academic Staff System Survey. This new table features the number and proportion of full-time academic teaching staff at Canadian universities by academic rank and sex, from 1970/1971 to 2019/2020.
