Given the rapidly evolving economic situation, Statistics Canada is providing an advance estimate of sales in the wholesale trade sector for April. The advance results for April indicate that wholesale sales rose 0.2%. The increase reflects higher sales in the machinery, equipment and supplies subsector.
Monthly Survey of Manufacturing: Flash estimate, April 2022
Given the rapidly evolving economic situation, Statistics Canada is providing an advance estimate of sales in the manufacturing sector for April. Advance results indicate that total manufacturing sales increased 1.6% in April. The growth was mainly due to higher sales in the petroleum and coal product, motor vehicle and primary metal industries.
