Study: Representation of Women on Boards of Directors, 2016

Women accounted for almost one in five members of board of directors in 2016, with the highest share in government business entities (28.8%), followed by public (20.5%) and private (17.3%) corporations.

Police-reported crime in rural and urban areas in the Canadian provinces, 2017

In 2017, 16% of the provincial population lived in rural areas, where 23% of police-reported violent offences occurred. Further, 17% of property crimes, 27% of Criminal Code traffic offences and 23% of other Criminal Code violations also occurred in rural areas.

Stocks of principal field crops, March 31, 2019

On March 31, 2019, stocks of wheat, barley, corn for grain, oats, dry peas and lentils were down compared with the same date in 2018. Conversely, stocks of canola and soybeans were up year over year. Lower stocks were generally a result of lower on-farm stocks.
