Farm income, 2017 (revised data)
Realized net income fell 3.6% in 2017 to $7.0 billion, following three consecutive annual increases.

There were 187,492 agricultural businesses reported in the 2016 Census of Agriculture. In addition to agricultural businesses, there were approximately 6,000 additional hobby farms.
Farm cash receipts, January to September 2018
Total farm cash receipts for the first three quarters of 2018 fell on a year-over-year basis for the first time since 2010. Overall, farm cash receipts totalled $45.3 billion in the first three quarters of 2018, down 1.6% from the same period in 2017.
Canada’s Core Public Infrastructure Survey: Public transit assets, 2016
The majority of public transit rolling stock that Canadians depend upon to get them to where they are going were reported to be in good to very good condition in 2016. Buses were the most common type of rolling stock asset owned by government organizations, followed by railcars and specialized transit vehicles for people with disabilities.

National Travel Survey, second quarter 2018
Canadian residents took 78.0 million trips in Canada and abroad during the second quarter, spending $20.3 billion. Almost 9 in 10 of the trips taken by Canadian residents during the spring months involved travel within the country. Just over half (52.2%) of Canadians’ overall travel expenditures was spent on domestic trips.
Visitor Travel Survey, second quarter 2018
Travellers from abroad made 8.2 million trips to Canada in the second quarter, down 1.8% from the second quarter of 2017. The second quarter of 2017 featured festivities marking both Canada’s 150th birthday and the 375th anniversary of Montréal. Despite the decline in the number of travellers from abroad, tourism spending in Canada rose 1.0% to $5.8 billion in the second quarter compared with the same quarter of 2017.
Production and disposition of tobacco products, October 2018
Canadian manufacturers produced 2.1 billion cigarettes in October, up 23.5% from September. Cigarette production increased 5.2% year over year.
