Model-based principal field crop estimates, August 31, 2016
The production of spring wheat and barley at the national level is estimated to be higher in 2016 than in 2015, while that of soybeans and canola is expected to be relatively unchanged. Production of oats and corn for grain is expected to decline.
Pipeline transportation of oil and other liquid petroleum products, July 2016
In July, shipments of crude oil and equivalent products by pipeline were up in Canada, following general increases in June. Shipments had declined markedly in May, because of the wildfire in northern Alberta, and in April, as a result of maintenance at oil sands facilities and a pipeline shutdown.
Travel between Canada and other countries, July 2016
Travel to Canada by residents of overseas countries increased 4.3% from June to 538,000 trips in July.
