Foreign direct investment, 2018
The stock of Canadian direct investment abroad grew at a faster rate (+10.4%) in 2018, largely as a result of valuation gains from a weaker Canadian dollar. The growth in the stock of foreign direct investment in Canada also picked up pace (+5.0%) when compared with the two previous years.
Principal field crop areas, March 2019
Canadian farmers anticipate planting more acres of wheat, corn, dry peas and oats in 2019 compared with 2018, while seeding intentions for canola, soybeans and lentils have declined relative to the previous year.
Greenhouse, sod and nursery industries, 2018
Total sales of the greenhouse, nursery, field cut flowers and sod industries increased 2.8% to $3.9 billion in 2018. Ontario represented the largest share of the total sales (+54.1%), followed by British Columbia (+22.4%).
Wool disposition and farm value, 2017
The volume of raw wool purchased directly from Canadian producers decreased 4.2% from 2016 to 1.2 million kilograms in 2017. The average price paid for raw wool to Canadian producers in 2017 was $1.12 per kilogram.

However, mostly due to data unavailability, there is little international evidence on the contribution of immigrant-owned businesses to job creation in their host country, and whether immigrant-owned firms experience faster or slower employment growth than firms owned by non-immigrants.
Travel between Canada and other countries, February 2019
The number of Canadians who took plane trips to the United States rose in February, with increases of travellers in Ontario (+5.2%) and Quebec (+3.5%) more than offsetting the declines in Alberta (-1.7%) and British Columbia (-0.6%).
