Retail trade, February 2017
Retail sales declined 0.6% to $47.8 billion in February, following a 2.3% increase in January. Sales were down in 5 of 11 subsectors, representing 67% of total retail sales.

Study: Age-specific patterns in the incidence of, and survival from, pancreatic cancer in Canada
Pancreatic cancer is known as one of the deadliest types of cancer and in Canada is associated with the lowest overall five-year survival. This helps explain why pancreatic cancer ranks as the fourth most common cause of cancer death in Canada, despite ranking outside the top 10 most commonly diagnosed types of cancers. While nearly 6% of all cancer deaths in Canada during the period from 2011 to 2013 were attributed to pancreatic cancer, it accounted for just over 2% of all newly diagnosed cancer cases.
Railway carloadings, February 2017
The volume of rail freight carried in Canada totalled 27.0 million tonnes in February, up 1.0% from the same month last year.
Quarterly civil aviation statistics, third quarter 2016
Total operating revenue for the 24 largest Canadian air carriers was $6.5 billion in the third quarter, up 6.5% from the same quarter in 2015. Total operating expenses grew 7.1% to $5.3 billion.

The volume of milk and cream sold in February was 233 741 kilolitres, an increase of 2.2% from February 2016.
