Average weekly earnings of non-farm payroll employees were $954 in October, little changed from the previous month (-0.1%) and unchanged compared with 12 months earlier (0.0%).
Railway carloadings, October 2016
The volume of rail freight carried in Canada totalled 31.3 million tonnes in October, down 0.6% from the same month last year.

Bioproducts Production and Development Survey, 2015
In 2015, 190 businesses reported $4.3 billion in revenues from bioproducts. Biofuel accounted for $2.7 billion or almost two-thirds of the bioproducts total. From a revenue standpoint, bioproducts sales accounted for 45.3% of the total sales (bioproducts and others) of those businesses. In 2015, 4,118 employees were engaged in bioproduct production (including research and development) and 1,500 employees worked in biomass improvement.

The volume of milk and cream sold in October was 262 949 kilolitres, down 3.4% from October 2015.

Oilseed processors crushed 804 948 tonnes of canola in November. Oil production totalled 349 242 tonnes, while meal production was 445 698 tonnes.
