Consumer Price Index, January 2019
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 1.4% on a year-over-year basis in January, down from a 2.0% increase in December. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the CPI declined 0.1% in January.
Computer and peripherals price indexes, January 2019
The price of desktop and similar computers, laptop and tablet computers, and servers declined 0.5% in January.
Commercial Software Price Index, January 2019
The Commercial Software Price Index (CSPI) decreased 0.2% from December 2018 to January 2019.
Payroll employment, earnings and hours, December 2018
Average weekly earnings of non-farm payroll employees were $1,012 in December, little changed from the previous month. Compared with 12 months earlier, earnings grew 1.8%.
Annual Survey of Manufacturing Industries, 2017
Total revenue reported by Canadian manufacturers rose 5.3% or $35 billion from 2016 to $700 billion in 2017. This follows a $7 billion or 1.1% increase in 2016. Total expenses followed the same trend, rising by $32 billion or 5.4%.
Logging, 2017
Revenue from all logging activities totalled $9.8 billion in 2017, essentially unchanged (-$4.4 million) from 2016. Logging (except contract) accounted for $5.0 billion, while contract logging accounted for $4.8 billion.
Diversity of the Black population in Canada: An overview
There were almost 1.2 million Black people living in Canada in 2016. The Black population is diverse and has a long and rich history in the country. More than 4 in 10 Black people were born in Canada.
Farm Product Price Index, December 2018
The Farm Product Price Index (FPPI) decreased 0.5% in December compared with the same month a year earlier, mainly due to lower prices for hogs and cattle. The overall livestock and animal products index was down 1.3%, while the overall crops index was virtually unchanged (-0.2%). The FPPI declined year over year in 10 of the 12 months in 2018.
Aircraft movement statistics: Major airports, December 2018
Aircraft take-offs and landings at the 91 Canadian airports with NAV CANADA air traffic control towers and flight service stations increased 8.7% in December to 387,035 movements, compared with 355,899 movements in December 2017.
