Building permits, December 2017
Canadian municipalities issued $8.1 billion in building permits in December, up 4.8% following a 7.3% decline in November. The December increase stemmed from higher construction intentions in the residential sector.
Chicken production, 2017
Chicken production totalled 1.2 million tonnes in 2017, up 4.6% from the previous year. More than half the chicken produced in Canada comes from Ontario (400 557 tonnes) and Quebec (324 642 tonnes).
