2016 Census of Population advisory: Families, households and marital status, and Language
Next week, Statistics Canada will turn the spotlight on Canadian families, their households, how they live, and the languages they speak. As Canada continues to celebrate its 150th anniversary, Statistics Canada will continue to share its year-long story of our country and its people, based on the results of the 2016 Census of Population.
Quarterly civil aviation statistics, fourth quarter 2016
Total operating revenue for the 24 largest Canadian air carriers was $5.1 billion in the fourth quarter of 2016, up 4.0% from the same quarter in 2015. Total operating expenses grew 8.1% to $5.0 billion.
Railway carloadings, May 2017
The volume of rail freight carried in Canada totalled 31.0 million tonnes in May, up 12.1% from the same month last year.
Coal and coke statistics, May 2017
Monthly data for May on the production and export volumes of coal, by coal type and use, are now available. Data are available at the national level and by coal-producing province.
