Study: Immigrants’ initial firm allocation and earnings growth, 1999 to 2012
After arriving in Canada, immigrants whose first paid employment was in high-paying firms fared better in both the short and long term than their counterparts whose first paid employment was in lower paying firms.
Crop Condition Assessment Program, June 2016
As of May 29, crop development was much lower than normal across Atlantic Canada, Quebec and most of Ontario, according to the satellite-based Crop Condition Assessment Program (CCAP). Crop development was lower than normal in Manitoba and a large proportion of Saskatchewan, while it was normal or above normal in the remaining agricultural areas.

Lumber production by sawmills increased 5.9% from February to 5 958.0 thousand cubic metres in March. Compared with March 2015, lumber production rose 5.3%.
