Consumer Price Index, May 2022
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 7.7% on a year-over-year basis in May, up from a 6.8% gain in April. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the CPI increased 1.1% in May.
Natural resource indicators, first quarter 2022
Real gross domestic product (GDP) of the natural resources sector edged down 0.1% in the first quarter of 2022, after a similar movement in the fourth quarter of 2021. In comparison, the economy-wide real GDP rose 0.8% in the first quarter of 2022.

Food services and drinking places, April 2022
On a seasonally adjusted basis, sales in the food services and drinking places subsector increased by 5.8% to $7.2 billion in April, the highest value since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and also since the beginning of the series. Sales rose at full-service restaurants (+7.3%), special food services (+25.3%) and limited-service restaurants (+2.0%). Drinking places were unchanged.
