Gross domestic product by industry, April 2021
Real gross domestic product contracted 0.3% April, the first decline in 12 months, as 12 of 20 industrial sectors were down.
Industrial product and raw materials price indexes, May 2021
The Industrial Product Price Index rose 2.7% month over month in May and was up 16.4% compared with May 2020. The Raw Materials Price Index increased 3.2% on a monthly basis in May and was up 40.1% year over year.

In April, the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on air travel continued, as major Canadian airlines carried 520,000 passengers on scheduled and charter services, down 92.6% from the pre-pandemic level in April 2019.
Aircraft movement statistics: Major airports, April 2021
In April, total air traffic was more than two and a half times that of April 2020, but was 29.0% below the pre-pandemic levels recorded in April 2019. Itinerant movements declined 41.1% compared with April 2019 (before the pandemic), while local movements, down 4.7%, were back in line with historical trends.
