Hours worked and labour productivity in the provinces and territories (preliminary), 2017
Business productivity rose in every province and territory except Prince Edward Island and Yukon in 2017. In most provinces and territories, productivity grew at a faster pace in 2017 than in 2016. Nationally, business productivity rose 2.2% following a 0.6% increase in 2016.
Travel between Canada and other countries, March 2018
US residents made 2.1 million trips to Canada in March, up 2.7% from February and 7.4% higher compared with March 2017.
Building construction price indexes, first quarter 2018
Prices for the construction of new residential buildings rose more than those for new non-residential buildings in the first quarter of 2018. Increases for both building types were driven, in part, by higher costs for masonry work, as well as for materials including steel, lumber and concrete.
Refined petroleum products, April 2018
Data on the production, inventories and domestic sales of refined petroleum products for Canada and the regions are now available for April upon request.
