Farm income, 2025
Realized net income for Canadian farmers fell $28.1 million (-0.3%) to $8.3 billion in 2025, following a sharper decline in 2024 (-33.9%). Excluding cannabis, realized net income increased by 9.0% to $9.6 billion.
Farm cash receipts, January to March 2026
Farm cash receipts in Canada totalled $25.1 billion in the first quarter, down $406.9 million (-1.6%) from the same period the year before. Poultry and egg statistics, 2025
In 2025, total production of chicken, turkey and stewing hens increased 0.7% year over year to 1.6 billion kilograms, while total poultry sales grew 0.5% over the same period to $4.5 billion. Chicken production, which accounted for over 90% of total poultry production in Canada, drove these increases, more than offsetting a steep decline in turkey production.
