Homicide in Canada, 2017
Homicide in Canada hit its highest rate in almost a decade in 2017. Much of the increase was the result of more firearm-related and gang-related incidents.
Wholesale trade, September 2018
Wholesale sales declined for a second consecutive month, down 0.5% to $63.2 billion in September. Lower sales were recorded in five of seven subsectors, led by the machinery, equipment and supplies and the personal and household goods subsectors.

Cannabis Economic Account, third quarter 2018
Canadian household expenditure on cannabis (for medical and non-medical use) was up 1.1% in the third quarter, following a 1.8% increase in the second quarter. Household expenditure on cannabis has increased for six consecutive quarters, averaging a growth rate of 1.5%. Consumption has increased 73% since the second quarter of 2001, when the Canadian government passed legislation legalizing the consumption of cannabis for medical purposes.

Annual 2016 data on business and employment dynamics in the private sector for every province and the territories, broken down by North American Industry Classification System industry or by firm size class, are now available.
Residential and non-residential property assessment values, 2017
Data on residential and non-residential property assessment values for the provinces and territories for taxation year 2017 are now available.
Implementation of NAPCS 2017 and base year 2012 within the International Merchandise Trade Program
Today, Statistics Canada is releasing international merchandise trade data classified according to the North American Product Classification System (NAPCS) 2017 version 1.0. Previously, NAPCS 2007 was used to classify merchandise trade by commodity.
