Homicide in Canada, 2015
Canadian police services reported 604 homicides in 2015, 83 more than the previous year. The homicide rate increased by 15% in 2015 to 1.68 per 100,000 population, the highest rate since 2011.
Canadian postsecondary enrolments and graduates, 2014/2015
Enrolments in Canadian public postsecondary institutions (colleges and universities) totalled more than 2 million in the 2014/2015 academic year, edging up 0.3% from the previous year.
Natural gas transmission, storage and distribution, September 2016
Natural gas transmission pipelines received 505.2 million gigajoules of natural gas from fields, gathering systems and gas plants in September. Of the seven provinces that posted receipts, Alberta (73.1%) and British Columbia (24.3%) held the majority.
