StatsCannabis data availability: Crowdsourced cannabis prices, third quarter 2019
The Government of Canada legalized the production and sale of cannabis for non-medical purposes on October 17, 2018. Prior to legalization, Statistics Canada updated the StatsCannabis crowdsourcing application to capture changes in consumer behaviours resulting from the newly legal status of cannabis. Updates included additional questions on the source of supply (legal or illegal) and first-time use, in addition to the original questions on price, location, consumption, quality and quantity purchased.
Quarterly estimates of business entry and exit, second quarter 2019
Quarterly estimates on the number of firm entries and exits in the business sector, with associated employment, broken down by North American Industry Classification System industry, are now available for the second quarter.

In 2015, Canadian households were responsible for 42% of Canada’s total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, including both the direct emissions related to household fuel use (44%) and the indirect emissions related to household spending on goods and services (56%).
