Manufacturing sales declined 0.9% in July, mainly on lower sales of primary metals and petroleum and coal products industries.
Model-based principal field crop estimates, August 2022
In 2022, Canadian farmers are projected to produce more wheat, canola, barley, oats, soybeans and corn for grain than they did in 2021, according to the most recent yield model estimates using satellite imagery and agroclimatic data. Increased production was largely driven by higher yields because of better growing conditions in Western Canada.

Energy statistics, June 2022
In June, primary energy production rose 3.5% on a year-over-year basis to 1.9 million terajoules. This was the fifth consecutive year-over-year monthly increase, following the 5.5% rise in May.
Employer pension plans (trusteed pension funds), first quarter 2022
The first quarter saw the market value of assets held by Canadian trusteed pension funds drop $65.6 billion to $2.21 trillion, down 2.9% from the previous quarter. Year over year, the market value rose by 7.2%, or $148 billion.
