Natural resource indicators, second quarter 2018
Real gross domestic product of the natural resource sector increased 1.8% in the second quarter, as both the energy (+3.2%) and forestry (+3.2%) subsectors expanded. Natural resource prices were up 2.1% due to strong price growth in forestry (+4.8%) and energy (+2.4%) products.

Taken together, women (+13%) and men (+11%) with a master’s degree earned more than those who had a bachelor’s degree.
Centre for Gender, Diversity and Inclusion Statistics
The new Gender, Diversity and Inclusion Statistics Hub brings together data from a number of Statistics Canada sources and presents the information in a single interactive analytical product. This Hub, the principal component of the Centre for Gender, Diversity and Inclusion Statistics, will make it easier for users to find and analyze the wealth of information that Statistics Canada publishes as they consider and measure the differential impacts of programs, policies, and other initiatives from a gender, diversity and inclusion perspective.
Aircraft movement statistics: Major airports, July 2018
Aircraft take-offs and landings at the 91 Canadian airports with NAV CANADA air traffic control towers and flight service stations increased 0.3% in July to 598,384 movements, compared with 596,387 movements in July 2017.

Coal and coke statistics, July 2018
Monthly data for July on the production and export volumes of coal, by coal type and use, are now available. Data are available at the national level and by coal-producing province.
Oilseed crushing statistics, August 2018
Oilseed processors crushed 742 988 tonnes of canola in August. Oil production totalled 333 324 tonnes, while meal production totalled 410 764 tonnes.
